Blind date update

The day after my hellish blind date, the dude called me. Twice. The first time, I missed it because it was 10 am on a Saturday and I was still asleep. The second, I was speeding down I-15 at about 85 mph and didn't think answering my phone was a good idea. He didn't leave a message either time, so I didn't call him back.

And mercifully, I haven't heard from him since.

After I told my good friend (or whatever the hell he is) "Elliot" all about the wonderful experience I had, he shared this bit of wisdom with me:

"Sorry about your crappy date although it was funny! Has he rang back yet? I doubt it somehow but you are a catch so you never know!"

So at the very least, he can take a hint. When a girl doesn't answer twice in a row, she's probably not interested. Good for him for realizing this.

But while I was chatting with Elliot and describing this charming evening, he asked me "So, you weren't even tempted?"

"Tempted" to do what?

Shag some random dude I just met? After an evening I thought was boring?

(Which was basically how I answered the question. But with more laughing).

I know, it really is shocking. How could I resist a guy who tells me all about his dream wedding and then asks me if I cook? A good date should always feel like a job interview for the position of "housewife."

Remembering this experience made me wonder when his visa expires. He did mention that he didn't want to go back to New Zealand...

What do you want to bet that Romeo's time in here in the good ol' USA is going to be up soon and he's looking for a way to stay here legally?

The things some people will do to get citizenship... *shakes head*
